A police thriller with dark overtones, The Body comes from the producers of Julia's Eyes and The Orphanage.A woman's body vanishes from the morgue in mysterious circumstances. | Stephen Colbert Has A Cameo In THE HOBBIT Posted: 20 Oct 2012 01:05 PM PDT  Though nobody is saying which of Peter Jackson's Hobbit films the cameo will occur in, The Hollywood Reporter brings word that Stephen Colbert - yes, The Daily Show veteran who now hosts his own The Colbert Report - will appear in one of the upcoming trilogy of films adapted from JRR Tolkein's work.It's certainly a surprising move on the surface but Colbert is a huge fan of Tolkein's work - he reportedly speaks Elvish, which is a whole other degree of dedication - and visited the set last year.Is Jackson going to take advantage of Colbert's ability to actually speak Elvish? Or will he purely be stashed int he background of a shot? Time will have to tell because Colbert - at least so far... |

Posted: 20 Oct 2012 10:30 AM PDT  At long last, fans of classic cinema are getting the version of Patton on Blu-ray that we should have received in the first place!For those not paying quite as close attention to such things (and they probably should!), there have actually been two previous high-def releases of the film (one a normal BD case, the other an anniversary Digibook), both using the same horrible transfer.The original HD master suffered from pretty extreme futzing, so much so that it was as if all the main actors were wearing considerable amounts of silly putty on their face in lieu of makeup. This "waxy face" syndrome caused much consternation for many, and sullied what from the start should have been an extraordinary disc in the first place.Fox has gone back... |
