| First Look At Christophe Gans' BEAUTY AND THE BEAST Posted: 07 Jun 2013 09:30 PM PDT  At the Cannes Film Festival, Pathé International released the first image for Christophe Gans' adaptation of the fairy tale Beauty And The Beast, featuring a first look at Lea Seydoux (Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol) as the beauty and Vincent Cassel (Black Swan) as the beast. Coming from the French director behind Brotherhood of the Wolf and Silent Hill, it wouldn't seem far-fetched to assume his take on the source material will contain a much darker tone compared to the Disney version. | Get Behind The Scenes Of Keanu Reeves' MAN OF TAI CHI Posted: 07 Jun 2013 09:00 PM PDT  A behind-the-scenes video for Keanu Reeves's directorial debut Man of Tai Chi has arrived, via Mtime. Running five and a half minutes, it provides an inside look at the production team and includes some footage from the film. In the video, Keanu Reeves and lead actor Tiger Chen talk about how the project first took off, and each describes their specific role. Also on the team is Elliot Davis, the cinematographer; Joseph A. Porro, the costume designer; Yohei Taneda, the production designer; Michael G. | Review: YAMLA PAGLA DEEWANA 2 Goes Any Which Way But Good Posted: 07 Jun 2013 08:30 PM PDT  A couple of years ago, Bollywood legend Dharmendra (Sholay) put together a wacky comedy starring himself and his two movie star sons, Bobby Deol and Sunny Deol. That film was called Yamla Pagla Deewana (Nutty, Looney, Crazy) and was a big hit. The family played a family, the Singhs, with Dharmendra and Bobby essaying the roles of con men on the prowl for a quick buck, and Sunny playing a devout Sikh to whom such shenanigans were anathema. The trio come together, find a girl, fall in love, and attempt to con a different Sikh family, headed by Anupam Kher (Silver Linings Playbook), into marrying their daughter off to Gajodhar (Bobby), in spite of his not being an NRI like the family insists. The same weekend the shameless product placement vehicle The Internship hits North American cinemas, discerning audiences will also be able to seek out Syrup, an adaptation of the brilliantly satirical Max Barry novel of the same name which takes square aim at marketing bullshit. Directed by Aram Michael Rappaport, Syrup stars Amber Heard, Shiloh Fernandez, Kellan Lutz and Brittany Snow, and while the short synopsis doesn't do the story justice here it is: A lowly marketing exec enlists the help of a scarily beautiful, brainy co-worker to save his million-dollar idea from corporate espionage in this scathingly funny send up of sex, celebrity, and greed. He has clearly paid his dues watching American college-set horror films and mastered this particular sub-set of the horror world, both in terms of embracing the goofier conventions of the genre and building in some scares that while genuinely scary are every bit as much fun. Levitski is the man behind the camera for upcoming feature Unforgotten Shadows, a horror comedy due for release across the CIS later this month. We ran the first trailer for the film back in January and that has now been followed by a second effort that captures even more of the tongue in cheek tone of the film - it revolves around college kids trying to cage a demon awoken when one... Making their directorial debut, Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen have built a vehicle that is customized to fit the talents of their friends. Loosely constructed, yet jam-packed with a plethora of profane jokes and an overdose of obscenities, This is the End will likely appeal to anyone with a rooting interest in characters whose behavior can most generously be described as "boorish and bawdy but occasionally considerate of others," and who are the most likely to appreciate the overriding joke, which is that the actors play "themselves," adding another post-ironic layer to the proceedings, and allowing them license to ridicule one other's public persona. Starring Aaron Pedersen, Hugo Weaving, Jack Thompson and Ryan Kwanten, Mystery Road is the story of an indigenous detective who returns to the Outback to investigate the murder of a young girl.
