| Fantastic Animated Tribute To BEYOND THE BLACK RAINBOW Posted: 12 Jan 2014 02:00 AM PST  Back in 2010 we were treated to one of the greatest visions of science fiction cinema has seen in quite some time. Still criminally underseen, Panos Cosmatos' debut feature is an absolute masterpiece of audio-visual design and hypnotic psychedelia. If you haven't seen it yet, seek it out!The film's director tweeted a link earlier in the weekend to this "animation tribute" to his film, by Grigoriy Bychkov, and it's pretty damn cool. In a bid to cash in on the sexy supernatural sub-genre, SyFy bought the rights for the Canadian production, Bitten, which is adapted from Canadian author Kelley Armstrong's Women of the Otherworld series. If you are a member of Team Jacob (did I get that right?) then this show is for you. Impossibly attractive actress Laura Vandervoort plays Elena Michaels, the only female werewolf in existence. Elena left her pack to start a new life (here in Toronto - yay!) and has settled down with her new beau, Philip. Trouble is, she has to fight her unnatural urges to change into a wolf.
