| LA Film Fest 2013 Review: NOBODY'S DAUGHTER HAEWON And The Endearing Art Of Wandering Posted: 22 Jun 2013 04:00 PM PDT  I've got a confession to make: Until last night I'd never seen a film by Korean auteur Hong Sang-soo (In Another Country, Woman Is The Future Of Man). So Why was that? My reasons in the past were fleeting, entirely vague, based around some misplaced notion that he was a director of some particular "heaviness" (which I really have no issue with). Perhaps that makes me lose a little street cred here at Twitch, but I'd like to think I'm earning it back with this review and the fact that I am now most undoubtedly, and quite effortlessly a fan of his. Unlike today's market which is overwhelmingly dominated by period pieces and gritty crime stories, Golden Era Hong Kong had room for far more. | Tiger Chen Is A Chinese Superhero In KUNG FU MAN Trailer Posted: 22 Jun 2013 01:30 PM PDT  Man of Tai Chi is not the only star vehicle this year for the next generation of Hong Kong action actor, Tiger Chen. The prodigy of Yuen Woo Ping's stunt team will also headline Kung Fu Man (aka Kung Fu Hero), an English / Chinese-language family action film directed by Ning Ying & Yuen Cheung Yan and produced by Keanu Reeves.In the film, Chen plays a Chinese "Kung Fu man" who protects a young boy from his kidnappers. Based on a Black List selected script the picture will star Schwarzenegger as the father of a young woman infected with what I assume is a relatively slow acting zombie virus helping her come to grips with her infection.
