Rudd And Poehler In Exclusive THEY CAME TOGETHER Stills

Posted: 10 Jun 2014 03:00 PM PDT

Paul Rudd is back together with his Role Models director David Wain for upcoming romantic comedy They Came Together and - as you'd expect from this particular duo with that particular title - it doesn't exactly stick to genre conventions. When Joel (Paul Rudd) and Molly (Amy Poehler) meet, it's hate at first sight: his big Corporate Candy Company threatens to shut down her quirky indie candy shop. Plus, Joel is hung up on his sexy ex (Cobie Smulders). But amazingly, they fall in love, until they break up about two thirds of the way through, and Molly starts dating her accountant (Ed Helms). But then right at the end...well you'll just have to see. (Hint: Joel makes a big speech and they get back...

Vincent D'Onofrio Is Marvel's DAREDEVIL Villain

Posted: 10 Jun 2014 02:00 PM PDT

We learned last week who would play the title role in Marvel's upcoming Daredevil series for Netflix and now we know who he'll face off with with word arrived that veteran character actor Vincent D'Onofrio - pictured above in The Cell - has joined the cast to play Wilson Fisk / The Kingpin opposite Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock / The Daredevil.Years of life on Law And Order have somewhat dulled the public impression of D'Onofrio but back in the day - whether his magnetic performance in The Cell or playing a tweaker with a prosthetic nose opposite Val Kilmer in The Salton Sea - was very much the go to guy when casting agents needed to do something weird. Here's hoping he's free to...

Put Some Cthulu On Your Shelf

Posted: 10 Jun 2014 12:30 PM PDT

Sure, it's not a movie and therefore falls somewhat outside our purview here, but everybody needs a retro styled, cephalopod headed god action figure to call their own, right? Right? I mean, how could any self respecting geek not want this once they know it exists? The good folks at Warpo have taken to Kickstarter to fund and sell their new line up of classic action figures based on HP Lovecraft's Cthulu mythos and in the art styles of the 1970s and 1980s packaged toys. And to get the look and feel right they've turned to figure sculptor Eddy Mosqueda - responsible for a host of classic TMNT and Masters Of The Universe figures - and packaging artist Ken Kelly, whose resume includes Micronauts, Dungeons And...

Say Hello To PADDINGTON With First Official Still

Posted: 10 Jun 2014 12:00 PM PDT

Paddington Bear has arrived in London from darkest Peru and he's brought his trademark hat, coat, case full of marmalade and the voice of Colin Firth with him. A hugely popular figure since the first Paddington book was published in 1958, the task of bringing the little bear to the big screen was handed - surprisingly, really - to Paul King, best known as the director of cult UK television series The Mighty Boosh, the visually dazzling but narratively somewhat flat feature Bunny And The Bull, and David Walliams and Matt Lucas' enormously unfunny follow up to Little Britain, Come Fly With Me. With Firth voicing the bear itself, the human cast is rounded out by Nicole Kidman, Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Jim Broadbent, Peter...

The World Cup is gonna kick off soon and those who are not so fond of football might ask, what's all the excitement about? Well, there's one Indonesian movie that might give you an idea. It's based on a true story. After years of religious conflict in Maluku, Sani Tawainela, a football coach of Maluku province, united his team, divided by different religions, to compete in the National Football Competition in Jakarta, and in the end inspired a nation.Produced by prominent Indonesian singer Glen Fredly, who is also from Maluku, and directed by Angga Dwi Sasongko (Jelangkung 3), this movie will make up, in part, for Indonesia's absence from the World Cup this year. While there's no official English title announced yet, the literal...
