Wachowski's Original Science Fiction Series Coming to Netflix

After successfully squeezing the mega-sized Cloud Atlas into a single sitting offering (which audiences more or less ignored), the Wachowski siblings are going to work in long form science fiction on a project called Sense8.  They are teaming up with Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski (who also wrote the first draft of the Ninja Assassin screenplay which the Wachowski's produced) and online streaming giant Netflix, who recently had a large audience and critical success with the David Fincher/Kevin Spacey collaboration House of Cards.  The 10 episode block is to be put online at the tail end of 2014.Little is actually known on what the series will be, beyond the generalized pull quotes from the siblings  and Netflix, "A gripping global tale of minds linked and souls hunted."...

This trailer is fucking bonkers.Back in 2010, the Deol family had a bit of success with their crazy masala comedy Yamla Pagla Deewana. Dad Dharmendra and his sons Bobby and Sunny Deol played a family of con artists trying to marry into a family of proud Sikhs who are only interested in accepting successful NRIs into the fold. Dharmendra and Bobby work their skills to try and convince this family, led by the ever-dependable Anupam Kher (Silver Linings Playbook), to make it happen to hilarious ends.The film was very successful at the box office, and as is often the case, talk of a sequel was immediate. Universe has released a stack of publicity materials for its upcoming 3D disaster flick, Inferno 3D.
