This time it is the German animated 'recycling' comedy Rusty Knight. While it may be a tad simpler and more obvious than your Pixars or your Laikas, the kids take comfort in a less challenging, more relaxing bit of entertainment clearly aimed at the younger set.Twitch has been on the Internet long enough that many of its writing staff have children old enough to understand and consume media in a way that is both raw and fresh. Such is the case in the new film Cruel Summer. Shot in South Wales during the incredible hot summer of 2013, the plot is loosely based on a true story of three teenagers who violently attacked a friend without provocation or motive. THE GRANDMASTER Wins 12, Dominates Hong Kong Film Awards Posted: 13 Apr 2014 09:42 AM PDT The 33rd Hong Kong Film Awards have just announced their winners and unsurprisingly it was Wong Kar Wai's The Grandmaster that dominated the evening, scooping a phenomenal twelve awards, including Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Screenplay and Best Action Choreography. Adam Wong's dance comedy The Way We Dance took 3 awards, including Best Song, Best New Actor for Babyjohn and Best New Director, while Juno Mak's Rigor Mortis also performed well, winning Best Supporting Actress for Kara Hui and Best Visual Effects.Nick Cheung managed to beat out Tony Leung to take the Best Actor prize for his role in Dante Lam's Unbeatable, while Zhao Wei's directorial debut So Young won the Best Cross-Strait Chinese Language Film, but otherwise it was... |
