The film stars Ingar Helge Gimle from Dead Snow 2. According to the official synopsis: Morgenrøde (English title: Dawn) is a mythological desert post-apocalypse film about faith, worldview, the beyond and the doomed delirious struggle against dehydration in a water polluted world years after a global fall. It is in fact quite the opposite; a simmering small-town affair, that leaves you with a smile and a small warmness in your heart.Gleeson is Murray, a resident of the small populace of the harbor town Tickle Cove of Nova Scotia. Here in one of the Canadian Maritime Provinces, humble lives are led but the work is dry; every adult collects their stipend from the government, content but unhappy. Not only does the Slash Filmfestival with its never ending love for the excesses of fantastic cinema lure the inclined cinephile but also the Austrian Filmmuseum opens after its summer break with another program dedicated to Horror. The retrospective Land of the Dead covers Horror films from a time when the genre evolved into full bloom: 1968 to 1987. Last year the Filmmuseum has covered the first 50 years of horror and now they will show among many films the defining milestones of the genre. Not only George A. | THE SIMILARS (LOS PARECIDOS): Twitch Visits The Set Of Isaac Ezban's Upcoming Sci-Fi Picture Posted: 25 Aug 2014 09:30 AM PDT  The Similars (Los Parecidos) tells the story of eight different persons who are stuck at a bus station. It's October 2, 1968 and Mexico is about to live the student massacre of Tlatelolco. But that's just the film's background and writer/director Isaac Ezban was not really interested in creating a political piece. He wanted old-school science fiction, so his characters begin to psychically look exactly like one of them. And that will bring some madness, for sure. Ezban wrapped production on The Similars two weeks ago. Filming took place mostly at Estudios Churubusco, Mexico's most iconic film studios. | FrightFest 2014 Review: ALLELUIA, A Fire-Charged Thriller Posted: 25 Aug 2014 07:00 AM PDT  The madness and obsession of love is a recurring theme in Fabrice de Welz's first two films Calvaire and Vinyan, and his latest, Alleluia, continues this trend. Taking on the infamous tale of the Honeymoon Killers (an American couple who conned and murdered several older women in the mid-20th century), with stellar performances by Laurent Lucas and especially Lola Dueñas, Alleluia is a fire-charged thriller than spins a disturbing and all-too-believable web of such madness, jealousy, sex and murder.Gloria (Dueñas) is a lonely single mother working at a hospital somewhere in Belgium.
