Released this summer in its native France as Le Jour Attendra, this crime thriller from writer/director Edgar Marie, starring Olivier Marchal and Jacques Gamblin, has been rechristened Paris Countdown and is heading to select U.S. theaters on Friday, November 8, when it will also be available via various Video On Demand platforms. Marie co-authored the book Pour une poignée de cerises, a sprawling true-life account of a famed French criminal outfit, which was the basis for A Gang Story directed by Marchal in 2011. The title of Mark Hall's first feature documentary might be somewhat misleading to all the viewers who got so accustomed to watching artistic, eye-pleasing but not entirely memorable foodie pictures. Sushi: The Global Catch is not as much about sushi in itself as it is about making people all over the world aware of the dangers caused by excessive fishing capacity for different kinds of fish, mostly bluefin tuna. Anime Limited Debuts English-Friendly PERFECT BLUE Blu-ray This Month

Perfect Blue, a film that many consider to be filmmaker Kon Satoshi's masterpiece, will make its English-friendly Blu-ray debut on November 18 from UK distributor Anime Limited. The film has already seen release on Blu in Japan and Taiwan, but neither of those releases have English audio or subtitles, so this is a big deal for fans of great films.Scotland's Anime Limited is a new company, only having released their first discs in 2013, but they're certainly swinging for the fences in terms of acquisition titles.
